Yamba is located just 14kms off the Pacific Motorway 1 1/2 hours north of Coffs Harbour and 1 1/2 hours south of Byron Bay. As you drive into town you will find as on the corner of Yamba & Angourie Rd.
Virgin, Qantas, Jetstar and REX offer daily flights from Sydney to the Ballina/Byron Gateway Airport. Cars are available to hire from the airport and the Yamba Shuttle service meets most flights (bookings essential). From Ballina airport, Yamba is a picturesque one hour drive down the Pacific Highway. Three weekly flights are also available with REX into Grafton regional airport which is a 45 minute drive from Yamba. Local bus services are available from Graton to Yamba.
Drive from Brisbane
At just over three hours, travelling from Brisbane to Yamba is straightforward trip down the Pacific Highway. However If you have some extra time, consider taking the Summerland Way scenic route which passes through World Heritage listed National Parks, classic Australian country towns and rural hamlets with vibrant arts and culture scenes – a perfect start to your beachside escape in Yamba.
Drive from Sydney

This drive will take over seven hours so we recommend planning to take your time to explore the rolling green hinterland, macadamia farms, banana plantations and rugged national parks that open to excellent swimming and surf beaches.
Train From Sydney & Brisbane
The XPT train service runs twice a day between Sydney and Grafton and takes about 10 hours. Sleeper services are available. Local buses run between Grafton and Yamba.
